This is the cat deck.
The yellow outbuilding is the cat chapel
and the fenced-in cat garden is down the stairs to the right.
The deck is sheathed with chicken wire
from the high crossbars to the deck base.
We provided for adding netting to the top
(sloped inward from brackets),
but that has proved unecessary for our older cats.
The chain link fence surrounding the cat garden
does have such netting.

The benches surrounding the deck
provide multiple perches for the cats
to play, rest and sun on.
Note the cat weather vane atop the chapel.

... And to nap under when they want a little shade.

... And they provide seating for our visitors
and volunteers.

But the cats enjoy hanging out everywhere on the deck.
|

... Even in the dead of winter.
