Stray Hearts Animal Shelter and PAWS New Mexico
Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic

Spay/Neuter EventDate: July 23, 2018

Stray Hearts hosted a mobile spay/neuter clinic on July 23rd to spay/neuter a group of shelter cats and dogs before adoption.  They don’t have an on‐site spay/neuter clinic, so they normally drive adopted cats and dogs to Espanola or Santa Fe for surgery before letting their new guardians take them home.  This works — but during the busy summer adoption season — they felt it would be more efficient to spay/neuter a group so they would be ready to go as soon as they are adopted.  They arranged with PAWS New Mexico to drive their mobile clinic up for the day to do the surgeries and our George’s fund provided the funding  for the 17 cats and kittens that were fixed.
